When Ergonomics Solutions Are More Than Physical!

Ergonomics practitioners are skilled in addressing the physical side of a person at work. When the needed solution is reducing injuries and reducing stress, ergonomists have the technical skills to address this rather limited range of problems. This hourlong, free webinar will provide examples of where ergonomics solutions can go beyond the physical effects to address true underlying causes. Deepen your understanding of how the “presenting problem” may require quite a different solution or technique than what an employer originally thought.

Presenter Colin Drury, distinguished professor emeritus of industrial and systems engineering at University at Buffalo, SUNY, has more than 20 years of ergonomics experience. His work is concentrated on the application of human factors techniques to manufacturing, inspection and maintenance processes. He has more than 200 publications on topics in industrial process control, quality control, aviation maintenance, security and safety.
