It updates medical examiners on body systems, history and examinations to qualify them to sit for the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME) certification examination.  It addresses the medical examiner’s responsibility to teach or inform drivers about medications and the impact the medications may have on the safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle.  It will address the use of the nursing process in performing the examinations and coaching techniques to better engage CMV drivers in safe highway practices.
