Risk Communication in Occupational Health and Safety
Presenter: Siobhan Murphy, MPH, CIH, CSP has been practicing safety and industrial hygiene for 23 years, after receiving a bachelors in chemistry and a masters in industrial hygiene from the University of California, at Berkeley. Her work experience includes the high tech, transportation and power generation industries. Siobhan is certified as an industrial hygienist and a safety professional. She currently works as a safety consultant at SAIF Corporation, in Portland Oregon, providing safety, ergonomic and industrial hygiene services to employers in a wide variety of industries.

This presentation will discuss what risk communication is and when it becomes important. Examples of critical mistakes and implications of those mistakes will be discussed.
