External Advisory Board
The University of Michigan’s Education and Research Center (ERC) has an External Advisory Board (EAB) which aids in the development and oversight of ERC activities. The EAB is drawn from industry, unions, and governmental agencies and its members represent the different academic areas of the ERC. The EAB advises the ERC’s Program Directors with regard to strategic planning for the ERC. They also provide valuable insight into the expectations that exist for graduates entering their respective fields.
The board currently consists of 14 individuals who have experience with occupational health and safety issues. Members attend bi-annual meetings with the ERC’s Program Directors and communicate with them throughout the year. They also participate in ERC events such as the Warren Cook Industrial Hygiene Discussional, the Occupational Health Speaker Series, and student recruitment events.
