The value and importance of the pre-travel consultation is not well documented or communicated. Currently, there is
not a mechanism in place to summarize statistics around significant health issues we identify to business operators. The business organization has limited knowledge of the health of the travel workforce, the importance of stabilizing potentially dangerous health conditions prior to traveling, the importance of the pre-travel consultation, and increase the risk of a serious incident or fatality that could have been avoided with proper preparation. In this session, learn more to recognize the value of the pre-travel health consultation through review of key clinical findings and clinical outcomes that are identified through retrospective chart review.
