COURSE DESCRIPTION
This course addresses key constructs regarding complex exposures in the home healthcare setting.
Students draw upon their respective discipline to examine and measure complex exposures in home healthcare settings. Recommendations based on assessment findings will be considered.
Learners will receive a continuing education certificate for 4.6 credit hours in nursing, industrial hygiene, or occupational safety.
Professionals working in health care, public health, and industrial hygiene, who support home care settings, can benefit from this course.
STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Describe complex exposures in home healthcare.
- Measure internal doses and responses to home hazards.
- Identify administrative and engineering controls for the prevention of complex exposures in home healthcare.
- Discuss case-based scenarios to identify, mitigate, and prevent risks for complex exposures in home healthcare.
