CDHW Disability Health Symposium

October 1, 2021 @ 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

Join the U-M Center for Disability Health and Wellness as we host the inaugural Disability Research Symposium on October 1, 2021 from 9:00AM to 1:00PM ET.

Our theme for this year is COVID and Beyond: Innovating to Address the Health and Wellness of People with Disabilities

Through this virtual event, we hope to showcase some of the talented individuals conducting research on disability-related issues from across U-M schools and departments. Equally important, we hope to facilitate networking and discussion on how the research either is being used or can be used to facilitate solutions related to health, functioning, participation and quality of life for those living with disabilities.

The U-M CDHW Disability Research Symposium will consist of TEDx Style presentations and research presentations highlighting the diverse disability research being conducted at the University of Michigan.  Presentations will be grouped around common themes and will be followed by breakout groups to facilitate networking and discussion. At this time, we will NOT be offering CE / CME credits for attendees.

By sharing, learning, and networking during this half day event, the CDHW hopes to foster discussion on how research can be used to promote health, functioning, participation and quality of life for those living with disabilities.

U-M students, trainees, staff and faculty are invited to submit  presentation abstracts by Tuesday, September 7, 2021. Submit an abstract:http://michmed.org/CDHW_symposiumRFA
