This presentation gives an overview of the global dimensions of occupational disease and the international need for industrial hygiene expertise. It describes and provides examples of occupational health challenges in low-income countries including exposure of children to workplace hazards, and lack of resources to implement controls like personal protective equipment and local exhaust ventilation.
