USA Today: 3 Stellantis worker deaths outpace Ford and GM, spike safety concerns

Center Director and Professor Rick Neitzel said Stellantis’s large workforce makes workplace fatalities statistically more likely than at a smaller company, so the deaths alone do not prove wrongdoing. However, he said the cluster should prompt Stellantis to review whether its safety policies are adequate, enforced, and clearly understood by employees.

He also noted that U.S. manufacturing injuries and fatalities have declined over the past 20 years, but progress varies by company, and risks such as ergonomic injuries, cuts, and noise exposure remain.
