Research / Professional Interests: Jacey is a second-year industrial hygiene student from Marquette, MI. She attended Northern Michigan University and earned her bachelor’s degree in biology (BS) with a minor in environmental studies. She was also a student-athlete at Northern and a member of the Women’s Alpine Ski Team. She worked as a summer student at Eagle Mine in Marquette for three summers during undergrad, which is where she discovered Industrial Hygiene. After that, she worked at TriMedia Environmental & Engineering, an industrial hygiene consulting company, as an IH intern for another three summers. She is most interested in general safety, industrial hygiene, and environmental practices within the automotive and mining industries. During the summer between her first and second years of the program, she was a Global Workplace Safety Intern at General Motors. The notable projects completed during this internship include air sampling, noise reduction, mist mapping, and heat stress monitoring.
